ELEMENT SABBATH SUNDAY PRAYER WALK 2026

“If we really believed that God was with us wherever we went, wouldn’t we want to go to a lot of different places?” –Mark Batterson

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened; do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go…” Joshua 1:9

Let’s bring the presence of God all across Cheyenne this Sabbath Sunday, July 5th.

What to do:

1. Gather your crew. You can join with your small group, your family, some friends, or pray in solitude with the Lord by yourself.

2. Plan your Journey. We’re suggesting four spots, but anywhere the Lord lays on your heart is amazing! Our four are: your neighborhood, your local school, the Capitol, and Element Church.

3. Pray as you go. Walk around each area, believing that God goes with you! Here are some things you can pray as you walk in each area:

  • Neighborhood: Psalm 127:1–Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it. Pray that everyone in your neighborhood would come to know Christ as King!
  • School: Proverbs 22:6–train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Pray for peace and prosperity for all the students, and that they may find Christ for a lifetime.
  • Capitol: Jeremiah 29:7–seek the peace and prosperity of the city into which I have carried you; as the city prospers, so will you. Pray that our leaders make decisions which benefit everyone and that our city, state, and nation will be one that honors God in all we do.
  • Element: Psalm 122:1–I rejoiced with those who said with me, let us go to the house of the Lord. Pray that Element is a Place to Call home for many who need Jesus, that we be a church passionate about learning and living the way of Jesus together, and that we be the kind of a church that if we ceased to exist, the community would miss us.

4. Keep a record! Write down what you prayed for, and keep on praying for it. Look back at our next Sabbath Sunday, the Sunday after Christmas, and see how the Lord answered your prayers. You might even share a meal with your crew following your prayer walk and talk about the experience.

5. Share your story. Go to ElementChurch.life/practice and let us know what the Lord showed you, what you prayed for, and how it made an impact in your life.
