Week 2 – Jeff Maness – September 16, 2018
Time is not meant to be managed for God it’s meant to be leveraged for good. We all have been given the same amount of time, so it’s not how much time we’ve been given but what we do with the time we already have. How can we leverage our time for good?

2 Corinthians 6:11-13 (The Message) Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!
Time is not meant to be managed for God, it’s meant to be leveraged for good.
Colossians 4:5 5 Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.
Ephesians 5:15-16 15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
Big Question: How do we leverage our time for good?

Psalm 39:4-5 4 Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. 2
Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is. 5 You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.
1. We need to understand time well
Psalm 39:5 5 You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.
Job 14:5 You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer.
Psalm 39:6 6 We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it.
2. We need to use time wisely
Psalm 90:12 12 Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.
Psalm 39:7 7 And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.
3. We need to unleash time through worship
Revelation 12:12 Therefore, rejoice, O heavens! And you who live in the heavens, rejoice! But terror will come on the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, knowing that he has little time.
