Given: What kind of peace does Jesus give?

Week 4 – Jeff Maness – December 16, 2018

The peace Jesus gives is not found in my circumstances, it’s found in my soul. We often look for peace on the outside, but the gift of peace that Jesus came to give is found on the inside. As Prince of Peace, Jesus came to give us peace.

Given: Peace

John 14:27a I am leaving you with a gift…

Isaiah 9:6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Shalom = Completeness, Soundness, Wholeness.

Big Idea: The peace Jesus gives is not found in my surroundings, it’s found in my soul.

Not in objects which men commonly pursue – pleasure, fame, wealth. Not in the flattering words or empty salutations that people of the world give.
